Revival Engineer

Removing cloud computing where it is not justified

Revival Engineer is a human proxy for removing cloud computing where it is not justified. It works like ghostwriting, for infrastructure: I do the work, and your name goes on it.

Revival Engineering

Revival Engineering is the practice of removing cloud computing where it is not justified. A Revival Engineer audits what runs in the cloud, keeps what earns its cost, and moves the rest to hardware the business owns or rents directly.

It is not anti-cloud. It makes the cloud a decision again, instead of a default.

The definition and the five-question test

The proxy

A ghostwriter writes the book, and the author’s name goes on the cover. I work the same way. I find the cloud computing that isn’t justified, plan its removal, do the engineering, and write up the results. You present the work as yours.

There is no book. The product is the work itself, delivered under your name.

How the human proxy works

The fee

One fee: 20% of your annual compensation. You submit proof of pay, and a contract is signed before any work is delivered.
